Memory and Processor Combination

DVD player typically includes a host processor which provides
control of the player's operation and feature-set, control
of amplifiers and filters, digital noise reduction and encryption.The
combination of Flash Memory and processor offers significant
flexibility for the storage of code and data, given the numerous
digitization, coding and copy-protection techniques and the
need for updates to be performed efficiently and at minimum
cost. |
DVD
is essentially a bigger, faster CD able to hold cinema-like
video, better-then-CD audio and computer data. By encompassing
home entertainment, computers, and business information in
digital format, DVD has the potential to replace audio CD,
video tape, laser disk, CD-ROM and video games cartridges.
In the few years since its introduction DVD has become the
most successful consumer electronics product ever. In addition
to the improved video and sound quality, the DVD format allows
players to offer language choice, parental lock, playback
programmability, special effects and digital zoom.
